6 Week Programme

You don't have to navigate grief alone.

Grief can change how we think, feel and experience everyday life.  Good Grief – The Journey gives you the understanding, practical tools and compassionate support to make sense of what you are experiencing and find your way forward.

Six weeks, practical support. A journey that can be custom built for you.

You might be here because...

Maybe you're preparing for a loss you know is coming.  Maybe someone you love has already died.  Maybe life has changed in a way you never expected, and you're grieving something that other people don't necessarily recognise as grief.

Or maybe you simply know that something doesn't feel right and you want to better understand what is happening within you.

Grief can look different for everyone, but you don't have to figure it out by yourself.

A practical way to understand and navigate grief

Good Grief – The Journey is a six week programme for individuals or groups, that combines grief education, personal reflection, thoughtful conversation and practical tools.

Rather than telling you how you should grieve, the programme helps you understand your own experience and gives you the space and support to navigate it in a way that feels right for you.

Warm Family Hug

Who is it for?

There is no single type of grief.

Good Grief – The Journey offers gentle guidance for people navigating grief before and after a death, including anticipatory and ambiguous grief, life‑limiting illness or condition, ie: disability, dementia, relationship or family changes, and significant transitions that reshape daily life.

It’s a place to explore what’s unfolding, make sense of your emotions, and find steadiness through change.

You don’t need to wait until everything feels too heavy before reaching out for guidance or companionship.

My sister and I took this course together and found it very helpful with our grief.  Rayleen tailored it to our needs and I went on to have further individual sessions, which for me cemented my understanding of my grief, but also some things I had attached to it too.  God bless you and the work that you do.

Meet Rayleen

Someone to walk alongside you

Grief can be deeply personal, and who you choose to walk that path with truly matters.

For more than twenty years, I’ve sat with people in moments of loss, change, illness, uncertainty, and love — in homes, hospitals, community spaces, and doing everyday life.

My work as a grief educator, navigator, chaplain, and companion has grown from those experiences: listening to stories, honouring what’s unfolding, and helping people find language, steadiness, and meaning in the midst of it.

Good Grief was created because I believe no one should have to navigate these tender places alone.  When you reach out, I’m the person who will be sitting across from you, someone who understands the weight of what you’re carrying and meets you with presence, clarity, and compassion.

Individual Programme

Work through the six week programme with personalised support and space to focus on your own experience.

Choosing the complete six week course rather than individual one to one sessions can also save you at least $100.

If six weeks doesn't feel right for you, we can talk about what support might better suit where you are right now.  Everything is just a conversation away.

Group Programme

Good Grief – The Journey can also be delivered for workplaces, community organisations, churches, support services and other groups wanting to strengthen their understanding of grief.

Group programmes are available in person for up to 12 participants or online for up to 20 participants, (if your group is larger, lets talk) with delivery shaped around the needs, context and goals of your group.

Group pricing is based on group size, location and delivery requirements.  Everything is just a conversation away.

You don't need to have grief figured out before asking for support.

You may be at the beginning of your journey, somewhere in the middle, or carrying something that happened years ago. Wherever you are, Good Grief – The Journey provides a place to be heard, understood and supported while developing practical ways to grieve well and live well.

“Grief can feel like a tangled web of pain, confusion, sadness and anger. Good Grief – The Journey guided me safely through that journey alongside others who understood.  Rayleen’s aroha (love), compassion and knowledge helped me begin to navigate my grief, so I could grieve well and learn to live well beyond it. I wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone caring for a loved one with a long term or terminal diagnosis like Dementia / Mate Wareware.”
